El viaje de Ben: Perú
Exploring Peru was like entering a world where history, culture and nature mix in an amazing way. From the busy streets of Lima to the peaceful Sacred Valley, everything was unique. The diversity and richness of the country never ceased to amaze me. Whether strolling through ancient ruins, sampling local cuisine, or enjoying the scenery, visiting Peru was an incredible experience. My trip was even better thanks to the extraordinary services provided by LimaTours.

Meal
Peru is famous for its cuisine, and it was truly amazing. My favorite dish was the Lomo Saltado, a delicious fusion of Peruvian and Asian flavors. For dessert, I highly recommend trying the Picarones (Peruvian pumpkin and sweet potato donuts), they are simply delicious!

Suggestion
When it comes to drinks, you can’t visit Peru without trying a Pisco Sour. They are part of the essence of the Peruvian experience (but you don’t want to take too many!). Additionally, I drank a lot of coca tea and muña tea, which helped me acclimatize to the high altitudes of Cusco and Puno.

Favorite destination
I can’t say which destination I like the most. All of the destinations on this trip were incredible and each offered a unique perspective on Peru. Lima is a fascinating capital, while Cusco is more traditional and brimming with culture. The Sacred Valley offers a feeling of serenity among the most impressive landscapes and Puno is the perfect gateway to discover Lake Titicaca.

Peru Highlights: The Sacred Valley
The highlight was the Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley. This cozy hotel was a great contrast to the hotels in the city as it really is in the heart of the Sacred Valley, meaning you feel immersed in the stunning natural landscape. The rooms are very cozy and the views of the Andes, both from the rooms and during breakfast, are impressive.

Machu Picchu
Visiting Machu Picchu was a dream come true. It’s been on my to-watch list for as long as I can remember and it didn’t disappoint. The panoramic views of the ruins are so picturesque and exploring the place really makes you experience how advanced the Inca civilization was. I went right after they changed the rules for visiting Machu Picchu, but it was very easy.

Guías Peruanos
All of the guides were amazing and since they are local to each area, they are really very knowledgeable and passionate. They were very informative answering any questions I had and made sure everyone was well taken care of.

Peru is for everyone!
Everyone should visit Peru. It has something for everyone, from food and culture to history and llamas, making it a perfect destination for any traveler. Plus, the locals are incredibly charming and passionate about sharing their culture. Visiting the communities of the Sacred Valley was rewarding, especially when we were able to enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the locals in their dining room, a wonderful experience.
In short, Ben’s trip to Peru was an enriching and fascinating experience, full of discoveries and unforgettable moments. Every aspect of the trip, from the exquisite cuisine to the majestic history of Machu Picchu, was exceptional. If you are looking for an adventure that combines culture, nature and unmatched human warmth, Peru is the perfect destination. There is no doubt that this land of wonders will continue to be a special place in the memories and hearts of those who visit it.
